About TransHub


We are proud to bring you TransHub, a digital information and resource platform for all trans and gender diverse (TGD) people in NSW, our loved ones, allies and health providers.

This platform is an initiative from ACON, NSW’s leading health organisation specialising in community health, inclusion and HIV responses for people of diverse sexualities and genders.

TransHub offers the information that many of us so desperately needed, but didn’t have access to as we grew up or grew toward our most authentic selves.

You can sort by whether a doctor initiates or manages hormonal affirmation, and whether they use informed consent or require an approval letter from an endocrinologist or mental health specialist.

You can also search by doctors who are free without a Medicare card.

Over the past few years there has been a real and tangible growth in demand to do better by trans people – binary and non-binary – in our communities, and ensure their health outcomes are equal to everyone else. Important message for trans people on estrogen therapies: There is currently a nationwide shortage of Progynova, which is also effecting stocks of Zumenon. There is stock at some pharmacies and alternatives include estrogen patches, gels, and implants. You will need a new prescription from your gender affirming doctor to access a different form of estradiol. We recommend booking in with your doctor at least 1 week before your current script runs out so they can help find a different option without any gaps. If in doubt, book in early to see your doctor. You can find out more about available feminising hormone therapies in Australia at TransHub. Hang out. Make art. Share stories. We are seeking applications to attend the Transgender and Gender Questioning Creative Expression group. Currently, places in the group are limited to 10 due to COVID gathering restrictions so applications are essential. This group will be a safe space to spend time with other trans people, share a safe and creative space, and to make art about our lives and experiences. The group is coordinated by Olli Mulholland, with support from ACON’s Trans Health Equity Team. The issue is not the efficacy, safety or the process of compounding the pellets – if you have ordered an estrogen implant from Stenlake before you have no reason to be concerned. Stenlake is continuing to make compounded pellets, but may take slightly longer to deliver them to clients.
