ACON Support Services

ACON offers a range of free and affordable counselling services for LGBTQ+ adults in NSW. Services include Pride Counselling, Care Coordination, HIV Counselling, Substance Support and Home Based Care.

Safe Haven

24 hours, 7 days a week

A Safe Haven is a place you can go if you’re feeling distressed or having suicidal thoughts. It’s free and you don’t need an appointment. The Safe Haven initiative provides a calm, culturally sensitive and non-clinical alternative to hospital emergency departments, for people experiencing distress or suicidal thoughts.

Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT)

24 hours, 7 days a week

Suicide Prevention Outreach Teams (SPOT) help people who are in distress, suicidal or at risk of self-harm. SPOT is a mobile service and can come to you.

Sane Australia

10am-10pm, Monday to Friday, AEST

SANE provides peer support, counselling, support, information and referrals to adults who identify as having a complex mental health issue, complex trauma or high levels of psychological distress. We also provide support to the family or friends who care about them.

Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS)

24 hours, 7 days a week

Whether you are having issues with alcohol or other drugs, are concerned about someone else’s alcohol or other drug use, or just have general questions about alcohol or other drugs, you can call ADIS any time of the day or week for support, information, counselling and referral to services in NSW.
